LTETR The Exhibition
I was awarded one of Salem's mini artist grants to curate an exhibition of my five look up-cycled couture collection 'Let Them Eat The Rich’. This collection took two years to complete from bottom to top, including pattern drafting, sourcing all materials, crafting the garments and headpieces and styling. This was an extremely pivotal moment for me to showcase these works that I poured my heart and soul into for years. Shown below are the photos of the mannequins, patterns, inspiration posters, fabrics, and illustration process. In addition to the interactive art component at the bottom; “Paper Doll”. Guests of the exhibit could peel the clothing items off the felt wall and attach to the life-size paper doll base. Once dressed, can stand behind the doll base, prop their head on top, and become the doll!
